GSMS Developers is the exclusive developer and builder in The Reserve. The company, with more than 20 years experience in the local construction industry, also can build custom homes on any lot and offers expert-level project management and commercial construction services. The Reserve at Jewel Lake is the company’s flagship residential development. “There are not many places you can go to in Lake City, into a subdivision, where it feels like you are out in the country, but literally be so close to grocery shopping, restaurants, doctor offices and banks,” said Brittany Dunn, GSMS Developers sales manager. “That’s unique to this community.” In addition to its close proximity to town, Dunn said all the homes in The Reserve at Jewel Lake feature a full-home-powering generator, capable of providing continued service to the home during power outages.
The homes at The Reserve at Jewel Lake also offer upgraded flooring and cabinetry. “We offer the selection of either tile or vinyl wood plank,” Dunn said. “The vinyl wood plank is commercial grade application. It’s timeless. It’s quieter, it’s more durable and it looks phenomenal.” As for custom kitchens, GSMS offers standard granite counter tops in their homes, as well as an opportunity to upgrade to quartz counter tops. “We just want to make sure the buyer is happy, no matter what,” Dunn said.
In addition to the homes under construction in the subdivision, The Reserve at Jewel Lake has more than 30 lots available and a variety of floor plans from which to choose. GSMS Developers also can work with a buyer to create a custom home design to build in The Reserve at Jewel Lake or on their own property. “We have several homes currently available for purchase,” she said. “They range from almost 1,400 square feet to more than 2,000 square feet. We utilize an open floor plan. Most of the time when they enter these smaller homes, they think they’re 1,800 square feet. The design really creates a feeling of openness.” Dunn said GSMS Developers likes to do away with hallways when possible and provide space that can be utilized by the homeowner. “We have something available for everyone,” Dunn said. “Our main focus is to create a community environment, and that’s what we’re striving to do.” The Reserve at Jewel Lake is located on Jewel Lake Drive, just off Pinemount Road, approximately a quarter-mile south of U.S. Highway 90 West in Lake City.
